What's Goin On?
Indeed! What's really going on at LRCC? well! here it is..........................
VERY IMPORTANT LRCC SERVICE UPDATE for 7-19-2020
Hi Living Rock,
As you probably already know, in an effort to contain the recent spike in COVID cases, the County of Santa Clara released a new order requiring all establishments (Including Churches) to STOP any type of INDOOR gatherings. Only OUTDOOR Gatherings are permitted at this time until further notice. With this new development, starting this Sunday July 19, we have made the decision to move our Sunday Morning worship service OUTDOORS at our PATIO AREA. We will be setting up markers to ensure that we have enough space to accommodate a MAXIMUM of 60 People at 6 FEET apart as mandated by the County's SOCIAL DISTANCING recommendations.
We have instructed our SKELETON CREW to make the appropriate adjustments to ensure we implement the following Directives;
along with the 6 feet Social Distancing requirement, we will continue to enforce
- Wearing a Mask during the duration of the Worship Service.
- Hand Sanitizing
- Temperature Checks
- Sanitizing of all pertinent surfaces which includes Chairs, Microphones, musical instruments, and door handles.
- We will allow people to go inside the Sanctuary only for Bathroom use.
We will continue to suspend the following
- Children's Sunday School activities
- Youth Activities
Since the 60 person limit is within our projected average attendance during this pandemic, and provided the Protocols are maintained and adhered to, we will allow the relaxing of the following activities
- Accommodating more people to the service
- Extended after Service Fellowship which can include the sharing of served meals
Once again as a reminder, if you are feeling sick, we would ask you to stay home and join us on-line. If you feel that your health or the health of someone in your household will be compromised by your attendance, then we ask you to also stay home and join us on line.
We are committed to doing everything and anything we can within the bounds of Biblical wisdom and common sense to continue to keep the Church open to all who desire to attend the services in person. We do not desire to disobey any directives from the County or take a position on any political, emotional, or philosophical debates about the current condition brought about by this pandemic. We will, however, remain committed to advancing the Biblical and Spiritual Mandate given to us by the Lord Jesus. We will not compromise our mission of spreading the Good News of the Gospel in our immediate community, We will remain open as a local Church to Pray to God, Praise God, Proclaim the Word, and Participate in God's redemptive plan for the World.
Be assured that I and our spiritual leadership are constantly praying for all of you. God is with us and we will go through this together and come out of this stronger, wiser, and more blessed,
In Christ alone,
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE FOR 7-5-2020
Hi Living Rock,
I hope you are doing well and enjoying your long 4th of July Weekend. Special thanks to Eric Harding for sending the Heads Up notice to our group email regarding the Updated Directives from the Santa Clara County Health Department. The update that directly affects our Church has to do with the number of people we can allow to worship in Person on Sunday Mornings. Pending State Approval, beginning Monday July 13 Gatherings of no more than 20 people are allowed INSIDE our building. Additionally, we are now allowed to have 60 people to gather OUTSIDE. This of course entails that we continue to practice the current protocols outlined by the County.
With this in mind, we will start making plans to COMPLETELY OPEN the church starting Sunday, AUGUST 2, 2020 with 2 Services on Sunday Mornings
The First Service starts at 9:45 am to 10:45 am Followed by an identical service from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The target date of opening the Church on August 2 is to allow us some time to properly execute all the logistical changes necessary to make this transition.
(NOTE: This target complete re-opening is SUBJECT to CHANGE depending on ANY NEW DEVELOPMENTS that MAY HAPPEN in the course of the next 3 weeks.
I realize that this will be quite a change and it will take time for us to adjust to this new way of conducting our services but I believe with God's help we can make this happen.
All of that said, we will continue with the same format we have been doing these past few Sundays. We will have a skeleton crew stream our service live on FACEBOOK. As always, I would like to remind everyone that we will have the following protocols in place.
- Wear a Mask
- Hand Sanitize
- Temperature will be checked
- Social Distancing will be practiced
- We will be sanitizing all pertinent surfaces in the building.
Additionally, We will continue to
- Suspend all Children and Youth Activities
- After Service Gatherings for Extended Fellowship.
It is not our intention to disobey any of the directives the County Recommends. We prefer and recommend at this time for all our members to join the service ON LINE.However, we are committed to keeping the Church open. We will not turn away anyone who would like to come to church in person. We are also aware of the possibility that the virus can spread through these gatherings. We want to make this appeal once again to all of you. If you feel that coming to church in person will compromise your health or the health of someone close to you, then we ask you to stay home and join the service on line. If you are sick or feeling sick. Please stay home and watch the service on line.
With the Spike in Corona Cases in our County, it is both wise and practical to make sure for all of us to do our part in slowing the spread of this virus.
Let's continue to pray for the day when we can have the OLD NORMAL BACK and we can all join together in worshiping the Living God without Restrictions.
Blessings to You!
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE FOR 6-28-2020
Hi Living Rock,
I wish I could have better news to share but as you probably already know, there has been no new development on our County’s directives about Church gatherings. We are going to continue the way we have been operating these past several Sunday. We will continue to stream our services live on Facebook in the hope that you can continue to connect with your local church as we go through this Pandemic. It would really mean a lot if you can join in on line on Sunday mornings during our service. As you know, these are very difficult times not just for local businesses but for all local churches. Your support will be a great encouragement to all who labor for your soul.
The Church will continue to be open and no one who wishes to attend in person will not be turned away. But as we have repeatedly indicated, we will practice the General Protocols suggested by the health department.
- Wearing Face masks will be required
- We will check everyone’s temperature
- We will practice Social Distancing
- We will make sure our Sanctuary is well ventilated
- We will have hand Sanitizers available
- We will clean all pertinent surfaces
Once again, We suggest that if you are sick or are concerned that your health or The health of someone in your immediate sphere will be compromised by your attendance, then we encourage you to stay home and join us on line.
We will continue to suspend our
1. Children’s Ministry
2. After service church fellowship
We will however, begin a plan to start getting our children and youth involved in church again soon
Finally, I want to Thank you for your continued support of Living Rock both in your prayers, service, and financial contributions. May God’s blessing be upon you always,
Sheltered in God’s Grace
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE FOR 6-14-2020
Hi Living Rock,
I hope and pray that all is well with you. There has been NO NEW MODIFICATION order from the Santa Clara County Public Health Office since June 5. That means we as a local church are still not allowed to conduct our indoor services the way we normally do. We are allowed no more than 25 people to gather at an outdoor church service setting. With this in mind, we will continue with our current set up. We will have our skeleton crew facilitate our service and continue to stream live on Facebook. The church will, however, remain open to those who would like to attend in person. We will not turn anyone away. However, as we have done for over 2 months now, please be advised that we will observe the following protocols for all present.
1. Wearing Facemasks
2. Social Distancing
3. Hand Sanitizing
We will also assure anyone who comes that we will
1. Sanitize all pertinent surfaces on our facilities
2. Provide facemasks for those who do not have one
3. Check everyone’s temperature as they enter the facility.
Additionally, we will also regretfully continue to suspend the following activities until we receive the go ahead from our local health officials
1. Children’s ministry
2. Fellowship involving potluck lunches
We strongly urge those of us who are at a high risk of contracting the Virus to please stay home and join us on line.
I cannot emphasize enough that our church gatherings has been, is, and will always be a voluntary commitment from our constituents. If you feel that your health or the health of someone close to you will be compromised by your physical attendance, then we urge you not to take that risk at this time.
Let me remind everyone again, that these protocols are NOT LAWS, and we are not required to follow any of them, I believe however, that adding the exercise of wisdom and common sense to our praying is the Godly thing to do.
God will see us through these bends on the road of life. Let us remain faithful
Blessings to all of you
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE for 6-7-2020
Hi Living Rock Family,
Warmest Christian greetings to everyone. I do hope that you are enjoying this beautiful warm weather we’ve been having.
As many of you probably already know, The Santa Clara County Public Health Office have announced the easing of restrictions with regards the Shelter In Place Directives and are now allowing Church Gatherings to occur for no more than 25 people.
This is good news. We can only hope and pray that the restrictions will be adjusted for the better even more in the coming days or be lifted altogether. But till then we will continue to be cautiously optimistic about how to conduct our church services.
With this newly adjusted directives, we will continue to stream our services live on Facebook this Sunday as always starting at 10:30 AM. Our skeleton crew will make sure that we conduct our Worship Services with the same commitment to quality and zeal for God as they have always done even before the Pandemic. I am personally grateful to our Crew for their dedication.
The church is open to anyone who would like to attend the service in person. We will not turn anyone away provided they meet the protocols we have in place. Let me list them again below
- Wear a Face-mask
- Practice Social Distancing
- Hand Sanitizing
- Temperature checks
For our part we will do the following:
- We will sanitize surfaces such as door handles, bathroom counters, equipment
- Check peoples temperatures
- Properly ventilate the Sanctuary
- Delegate seats for Social Distancing
We will also at this time continue to suspend our children’s ministry until we move a little deeper into Phase 2.
We also encourage those of you who are not feeling good to please stay home and to just join us on-line.
Having outlined these directives, I would like to emphasize that they are just that—directives. They are not Laws. There are no laws requiring anyone to follow these protocols. But the current situation calls for us to use practical wisdom and common sense. It will be the right thing to do to heed these precautions.
Once again, as always, participating in public worship has been, is , and will always be voluntary. If you feel that attending our worship service in person will compromise your health and well being or the health and well being of someone in your family and immediate sphere of contact, then we completely understand. Our motivation to open the church is based solely on our spiritual and Biblical Convictions.
May God extend His hand of protection and Blessing upon all of you
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE for 5-31-2020
Hi Living Rock,
Warmest Christian Greetings! I hope that all of you are well and staying healthy.
As you know, Santa Clara County is one of 11 other counties in California that have not decided to allow Religious Services to take place. That means we do not have an official green light to allow 25% of our capacity for congregants to meet with protocols. However, this does not mean we will turn anyone away who decide to come to worship this Sunday. We will have our regular service at 10:30 am this Sunday with the same skeleton crew.
Should you decide to come this Sunday please be aware that we will require you to
- Wear a Mask (Please bring a mask)
- Practice Social Distancing
- Hand Sanitize
We will ensure that our Sanctuary is well ventilated and all surfaces are disinfected. We will also continue to stream our services Live on Facebook.
Please let me re-assure everyone that it is not our intention to break the law or endanger anyone. Our services has, is and will always be voluntary. We believe that Worship attendance is a personal commitment made by the individual members of the congregation. If you feel that your health or the health of someone close to you will be compromised by you coming to church in person, then we completely understand if you choose to stay home. Our motivation for opening the church for In Person worship is a spiritual and Biblical one. We regard communal gatherings for the purposes of spiritual Fellowship and Biblical instruction as integral to the whole Christian Experience of Worship and has been for over 2000 years.
We will do everything within our means to ensure that we follow the State Guidelines for conducting In-Person Worship.
I am disappointed that we are in this current state of affairs. But I am infinitely confident that God is in charge of His People and the Lord Jesus is the Head of the Church. He will see us through this and we will come out of this stronger and better than before.
God is Good, He doesn't slumber nor sleep. We are coming back with a heart of worship
Blessings to you
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE FOR 05-24-2020
Hi Living Rock Family,
I hope and pray that all is well with you during this Covid-19 pandemic. As you probably already know, the “Shelter In Place” directive is scheduled to end on Sunday, May 31st. This Day is also Pentecost Sunday. We have been praying and seeking God for directions on how to proceed with a “Soft Opening” of our Local facilities. Unless something drastically changes before the 31st, we plan on conducting 2 one hour live services on this Day. The first one starts from 9:45am -10:45am and a second service at 11:00am -12:00 pm.
You can be sure that we will be practicing the proper protocols of
1. Social Distancing
2. Hand Sanitizing
3. Temperature Checking.
Depending on the allowable easing of restrictions, we will calculate the number of attendees that the church can accommodate with these protocols in mind.
I want to stress a very important point. This church reopening as in all the services we have conducted in the past, ARE STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. If you feel that your physical presence in the church will compromise your health or the health of someone in your family, then we completely understand if you do not come. We also urge you to stay home if you feel sick or have been exposed to someone who have the virus.
We made this decision in the hope of bringing back a measure of fellowship to our worship experience and celebration. It is not meant to challenge unfair laws or any constitutional provisions being violated. Although we are fully cognizant of our rights to freedom of Religion and Free Assembly. This is not to us, a political matter but a spiritual and Biblical one.
Once again, this is the plan. Please join me in praying for God’s hand upon this matter. We will have our usual skeleton crew to conduct our service for this Sunday to be streamed live on Facebook.
God bless all of you.
LRCC SERVICE UPDATE FOR 05-10-2020
May I just greet all the moms a VERY HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!! in advance.
I know that this Mother’s Day is unlike all the other ones we have celebrated in the past. But nevertheless, we should celebrate it with our usual joy and gratitude.
I want to encourage all of us to honor God by honoring our mother’s even more intensely during this time of crisis. Tell her you love her. Tell her you’re grateful to God for her. I am not suggesting you are not saying these things to her on a regular basis. But rather, to simply let her know that you rejoicing with her in the glory and blessing of motherhood.
As we have been doing for the past 5 Sunday, we will be streaming our services live on Facebook. A skeleton crew of Ben, Sally, Janine, David, will lead us in Worship, Eric and Noah to take care of our broadcast sound recording, and Lisa to ensure that we are following all Covid protocols such as hand sanitizing and social distancing. Willie and Jun Will also be there to help in the streaming. I mentioned their names because I am so grateful for their dedication and willingness to serve in these very risky and challenging times.
Most of all, I would like to thank all of you for joining us on line and spreading the word on our streaming activities. To those of you who listen to our KFAX broadcast thank you for your support.
Once again, let us continue to pray for this Pandemic to be over. God will take us through this and we will come out of this stronger and better.
Blessings to All,

For the next several Sundays we will be looking at Refining Our Spiritual Walk. We will begin with a message entitled "A Soul in Pursuit of God". I hope that all of you will join us.
As always, we will have a Skeleton Crew at our Church to conduct the Service. We will have our Worship Team led by Ben Reyes to lead us in a time of Praise and Worship. They will help usher in the Presence of the Lord with Musical selections magnifying the Glory of Easter.
As an Added event, Dr. Steve Korch who was supposed to be our Guest Speaker this Sunday has graciously recorded an Easter Message for all of us who would like to be inspired and encouraged by the Word. You can enjoy his message by clicking the Link below. The link will also be posted on our Facebook Account.
